"Experiment cu o inserare" - book launching.
The Insomnia Caffe will host on the evening of February 27th the
launching
of a volume of poetry entitled "Experiment cu o inserare",
by Dan
Lototchi. The volume was published by a prestigious German Publishing
House and will be prefaced by art critic Claudiu Groza. The author
will
read a few excerpts from his book. |

Painting exhibition of Nelus Oana, an australian painter of
Romanian origin
The "Carpatica" Cultural Foundation (situated in 16, Eroilor
Boulevard)
features in Cluj Nelus Oana, an Australian painter of Romanian origin
who graduated the Melbourne fine arts college and faculty.
The opening of the exhibition will be held on March 4th, 6pm, at
the "Carpatica" Cultural Foundation. |

Roland Garros Club
Live. No lies
A series of concerts under the name "Live. No lies" will
begin in Cluj on
March 9th and will take place in Roland Garros Club. Nick, from
Luna Amara, and Mr. Mojo, from the band Jokerman, were invited and
each will perform a series of acoustic song on solo guitar (original
songs and remixes). Nick composed for Luna Amara a few of the hits
which acknowledged this band: "Rosu aprins", "Gri
Dorian", "Albastru" and many other. Tickets: 10 lei.

Vasile Seicaru in concert
Vasile Seicaru will perform in Cluj-Napoca on March 27th, within
a series of concerts which he has in Ardeal. From here, his next
stop will be in Alba Iulia, at the local Students' Cultural House,
on March 28th, 19 hours, and, at the same hour, the following concerts
in Timisoara (March 29th), at the Banat Philharmonic, and on March
30th, in Arad, at the local Philharmonic. |

Swans' Lake Ballet
The stars of the most prestigious ballet school of the world, the
Russian one - the Balsoi Theater in Moscow, will come to Cluj for
a performance
of the Swans' Lake, the famous ballet on P. I. Tchaikovsky's music.

“Bayadera” Ballet performance
“Bayadera” will be staged in Cluj-Napoca on April 10th,
by the soloists of the Kiev National Opera, the soloists of the
Balsoi Teatr in Moscow and the ballet soloists of the Opera and
Ballet Academic Theater in Kiev.
The tickets may be purchased at the tickets agency of the National
Theatre.

Stefan Hrusca in concert
The famous Romanian singer Stefan Hrusca will perform on the stage
of Casa Armatei in Cluj-Napoca on April 11th, 2008. The show is
part of a Transylvanian Tour which will also include Timisoara,
Arad, Satu Mare, Baia Mare and Oradea. The tickets are on sale at
the Student's Cultural House in Cluj and amount to 20. 30 or 40
lei, according to the seat. |

"Anii 60: miscari contestatare în SUA" book launch
and concerts with Grimus and Luna Amara
The writer Adrian Dohotaru will launch his latest book "Anii
60: miscari contestatare în SUA" in the unconventional
place of a Tehnofrig hall and not the usual bookshop launch. The
event will take place on Tuesday 13th of May, from 7pm, and will
be followed by a concert of Luna Amara (Nick Fagadar and Mihnea
Blidariu) and Grimus.

The 7th edition of Transylvania International Film Festival will
be held in Cluj-Napoca between May 30th and June 8th, 2008. The
organizers have opened the registration of the films which will
participate in the Festival on January 10th; the registration will

Bikers at the "Seth on Fire" Party
Even if June is not the hottest month of the year, the organizers
of the "Seth on Fire" Party, the Seth Riders' Club, promise
to make a hot atmosphere in June, in Gilau at the "Eldorado"
Camping place. On the head of the list are famous bands as the Hungarians
from Iron Maidnem, Desperado, from Cluj, and the Aia Band, from
Brasov. For 3 days, the bikers will be able to show off their skills
and engines, or cool off at a beer drinking contest.

Grimus in Concert
Grimus will perform in Cluj on December 6th, 2008, in Irish&Music
Pub, after more than a month from the release of their first album,
“Panikon”. The concert is part of a tour wihich will promote
the album in 20 cities in Romania. Their special guests will be
the winners of GBOB Romania 2008, The Marker.
