Piavko in concert in Cluj-Napoca
May 29 2007, 19 hours, The National Theatre
Russia's greatest soloist Vladimir Piavko is holding a concert
in Cluj at the end of May 2007. He will perform in Cluj on
the 27th of May, at the side of other seven opera singers
on the Cluj National Theatre stage. Tickets are on sale at
the theatre agency and amount to 150, 250 and 300 lei. |

the artist, adding their own page in this diary, using the images
and fragments of thoughts left behind in the exhibition space. They
can as
well bring in images form own travels that they can exchange with
the

Gilau Outdoor Cooking Championship
The park of Gilau castle (18 km from Cluj-Napoca)
will be for three
days the setting of the Gilau Outdoor Cooking Championship.
The contest will put to test the skills of chefs from Hungary, Japan,
Germany, France, China, Romania and Austria. The auditory will not
only salivate, but enjoy to the fullest the contests and distraction
which await
them. On top of that, there will be invited many comedians, folk,
country,
rock and jazz interpreters, who will liven up the spicy atmosphere.

Global Battle of the Bands
Global Battle of the Bands, the largest live music competition in
the
world, will also be held in Romania starting with 2007. One of the

regional finals will be held in Cluj, on September 20, 8 pm, at
the
Obsession Club. The admission will amount to 20-25 lei.

A young yet ambitious festival will bring

field. The Puck International Festival will take place in Cluj between
October 22 and 27 2007 and will invite 10 marionette Romanian troupes
and other 7 from Europe. The festival will feature 20 performances
and 3

Grimus in concert
After being declared the winners of The Romanian National GBOB
Challenge final 2007, which was held in Cluj, Grimus will hold a
concert in
Roland Garros club on October 25th, 2007 (at 9pm). The band promise
to
perform a few of the songs which made them famous, such as Solitude,
which the listeners voted as The Song of The Year 2006 in the Romtop
of the CityFM Bucharest radio station. The band also promises to
play on
Thursday some of the songs which will be heard at the London final
of the
GBOB - Glimpse and Different Coloured Shoes. The tickets are available
for 10 lei and 8 lei for the StudCard owners. |

2007, 2 pm, Irish Music Pub
GRIMUS - 'London Calling' for GBOB
The main event of Friday afternoon is the Grimus public rehersal
prior to their departure for London, where the band will represent
Romania in the great final of the Global Battle of the Bands. "London
Calling" will be held in Irish Music Pub, beginning with 2
pm, with free entrance. After their performance in London on December
5, 2007 the band will also play at the Cultural House in Satu Mare,
at the "Christmas Rock" Festival, and in Bistrita, in
December 22nd, at 9 pm at Club ambasador. Three of the members were
born there and this is the only concert held in Bistrita in this
year.
